A quick announcement if you have not seen that there is a schedule on the Crossbar app / https://harrisbaseballsoftball.com. Our first practice is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 pm on Harris Field 2.

Please dress baseball and weather appropriate.

We will be working on icebreaker skills.

Our jerseys are black, and we ask that you have grey pants for your sons. The baseball pant style I will leave to you and your child as comfort is subjective, but if you would like to wear the high knee style, black stirrups would be best!

I will be wearing a FreedomSystem.org Hoodie! For reference, you can see the logo on the FSO website!

Good Evening Everyone!

I am Coach Holmes! I have been coaching for several years; I played baseball as a kid in high school and some intramural ball in the U.S. Army! Our team name is actually: FreedomSystem.org! This will be the second year Coach Mast and I have coached together, and we are very excited to work with each other again!

FreedomSystem.org is a nonprofit organization focusing on military Veteran Reintegration into the Civilian world through camaraderie programs such as martial arts training, mountain biking, meet-ups, and career training. If you know any Veterans, FSO would love to help!

As I coach, I focus on the positive energy that comes along with baseball and the respect it creates in a young person. I will try my hardest to teach your child the importance of holding their head held high, respect for themselves, their parents, coaches, and general sportsmanship. I will work with them on winning and being a good sport! On the flip side of that - no one likes to lose, but if/and when we do, they lose as gracefully as they win!

Most importantly, I hope to have a great summer playing baseball with your young men and having them make some new friends! We will let everyone know as soon as we get the calendar and the days we get to practice at Harris. Coach O'Toole, Coach Mast, and I have discussed doing other practices and potentially fun outings to places like D-Bat or another field when we cannot play at Harris.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any issues that you may have. I ask that if you have issues during the game or during practice, you wait till after the game or practice to address your grievances, and I promise we will get everything squared away.
