Harris Storm Travel Baseball
Harris Storm is the travel baseball program based out of Harris Baseball Softball. Storm provides the ability for baseball players to experience the next step in their baseball journey! Our Storm teams practice throughout the winter, and play tournaments throughout the midwest. Our program is growing and looking for players willing to take their next step in baseball!

8u
9u Black
9u Grey
10u
11u
14u
When
Travel baseball teams are formed in the fall, shortly after tryouts. Some teams may elect to play in some fall/winter tournaments. Indoor practices follow, usually starting in January. The official season begins in April and will continue through July, possibly into August.
Where
Outdoor practices are held at Harris Fields in Granger. Indoor facilities like RBI's and DBat have been used for indoor work. Tournaments are held within a couple hours from Granger (Michigan City, Portage, LaPorte, Indianapolis).
Practices
Team managers and field availability decide frequency of practices. This frequency can change from season to season.
Games
The quantity of games also depends on the manager and team families preferences. Some teams may elect to play in 6 tournaments, where others might play in more. Most baseball tournaments will have a 3 or 4 game minimum for the weekend.
Jerseys
Yes, jerseys, pants, and hats are provided within the team budget. Uniforms are ordered as a program in the winter. Managers will decide on quantity and design of the uniforms, within certain boundaries.
Costs
Managers dictate the cost of the season. Managers attempt to forecast the cost of uniforms, indoor facility use, and tournament fees for the season. That cost is divided amongst the team. At times, extra tournaments could cause an additional fee, but managers will discuss this with families. You can expect to pay for gate fees, parking fees and travel fees associated with the tournaments. Teams might also use sponsor funds and/or fundraising funds to offset the cost of player fees or tournament fees.
