HARRIS STORM TRYOUTS
Harris Storm is looking to continue their growth and success as a travel organization based out of Harris Baseball Softball in Granger, IN. Harris Baseball Softball, Inc. is a 501c3 non profit organization that focuses on youth baseball and softball development in the Michiana area. With tax benefits and low team fees, Harris Storm is a great option for all travel baseball player families.
Storm teams will start with fall tournament player, winter indoor practices and a busy spring/summer tournament schedule! With USSSA and BPA, there are many tournaments for coaches to choose from within our area.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Teams will play in 6-10 tournaments throughout the fall and spring/summer. Most tournaments are within an hour, but some can be played further.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Jerseys, hats, bat bags and helmets are provided as a part of team fees and/or sponsorship funds.
Costs
Team dues will vary based on expected tournament costs. Managers attempt to forecast the cost of uniforms, indoor facility use, and tournament fees for the season. That cost is divided amongst the team. Teams often use sponsor funds and/or fundraising funds to offset the cost of player fees or tournament fees.
In addition to normal dues you can expect to pay for gate and hotel fees.

What if my player can't make the tryout date?
That's okay, reach out to vicepresident@harrisbaseballsoftball.com to be connected with the appropriate coach, who will be able to set up a secondary or private tryout.
I'm concerned my son will be disappointed if he doesn't make the team.
Tryouts and team formation is hard for everyone (players, families, coaches and teammates). While not every player will be selected as a Storm player, tryouts are an important process for each player. We recommend looking into a few different tryouts to see what other options are out there. Our coaches might have some good ideas for options if your player isn't selected.
