March Board Minutes

Softball Update:

• 6u softball——Monday, Thursday, and Saturday game dates
• Softball draft: There will be no team draft, commissioner’s choice 
• Socks were a good touch for softball uniforms last year, and should be re-ordered this year
• June 17 Penn Park all star softball tournament
• Equipment and balls orders needed by the end of next week 
• Shirt sizes and numbers need by April 1 to place order

Baseball Update:

• 12 machine pitch teams 
• Equipment and balls orders needed by the end of next week 
• Shirt sizes and numbers need by April 1 to place order

Upcoming Tournaments:

• Cam Snead June 1 

Park Maintenance and Updates:

• Cages should be done by late next week and cages will be fully functional within 2 weeks 
• Looking for connections for turf in the box of the cages
• Adding responsibilities for travel teams to clean up fields, etc every Tuesday night to leave it nice 
• New park signs should be up and ready by opening day 

Opening Day (May 4th):

• Balloon $75/hr 
• Bouncerama $600 
• Sponsor booth?? 
• Coney express
• Traveling Tom’s 
• Kona
• Tim looking at what has has done at his school

Other Items:

• South Bend Cubs day. We need to promote, and do an email blast to help support the park
